This bungalow is named after the ship where our grandfather began his career as chief engineer sailor whose function was to keep the equipment and operation of the ship in good condition. He traveled throughout the Gulf of Yucatan.

Mayapán, which means “standard of the Mayan people,” was also the political capital of the Mayans in the Yucatán Peninsula from the late 1220s to the 1440s.

The bungalow is furnished thanks to the artisans of the region. Its architecture is inspired by the Mayan houses of the region favoring natural ventilation. We are part of an eco-responsible and minimalist approach that favors local products and sustainable materials.
